For the treatment of keratoses and molluscums, you must have your medical prescription with you at the time of your appointment.
After the assessment, the nurse will proceed with care. If no treatment is required, you will only be charged for the assessment.
Types of skin lesions
Eliminate acrochordons, warts, seborrheic keratoses and molluscums
Warts
Did you know that the Quebec government has made the digital health record available to everyone registered with the RAMQ? Since 2018, you have direct access to your health information and results at the same time as your doctor.
Skin tags
Skin tags are small, benign growths that usually occur on the neck, armpits, eyelids and other areas of the body where the skin rubs against skin or clothing.
Cryotherapy is an excellent treatment option for removing acrochordons as it can quickly and easily freeze them without damaging surrounding skin tissue. The procedure is virtually painless, and usually only requires a single session to completely remove the skin tag.
Seborrheic keratoses (prescription required)
Seborrheic keratoses are non-cancerous growths that usually appear on the face, chest, back and other parts of the body as people age.
Cryotherapy can be an effective treatment option for seborrheic keratoses, as it can destroy abnormal cells while leaving healthy skin tissue intact. Patients may experience slight discomfort during the procedure, but this usually resolves quickly.
Molluscums
Molluscum contagiosum is a viral skin infection that causes small, raised, wart-like bumps on the skin.
Cryotherapy is an effective treatment option for molluscum as it can freeze and destroy virus-infected cells, eventually leading to the loss and elimination of bumps. The procedure is safe, fast and generally well tolerated by patients.
What is Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is a safe and effective treatment option. It is fast and minimally invasive.
Prices start at $50.
